I suggest you ...

Optional per identity smtp configuration

Because SPF ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Policy_Framework ) some mails would be marked as SPAM. If you cannot configure SPF you need to use smtp server from same domain as identity.

An essential feature. Please implement this!

Planned for 3 years ? This feature is mandatory for me. Every webmail should have that.

I would like to use Rainloop as a replacement for Squirrelmail on my private server - I am collecting my mail there, reading works but for sending I need to go via SMTP Server of my provider, so I need to configure a different SMTP server with different credentials for sending mail.

this is essential really. it would make rainloop the most powerfull client of them all

This would be one I would love to see, gmail just rejects the mail if the smtp doesnot match identity from major email provider like yahoo/outlook so for those identity having their own smtp would be great

This is also the only feature I am missing to switch to Rainloop :-)

This is the only feature I am missing!
Currently I am using the plugin "identity_smtp" in roundcube.
Can't wait to switch to rainloop!
